Red, White, Blue and “Oranje”

Ontario Patient Transfer celebrates Netherlands win

July 7, 2010 (Hamilton) — After a 1-0 victory for Spain in Wednesday's semi-final match against Germany, history is in the making as the Netherlands' “Team Oranje” gears up to take on the Spanish in the World Cup final this Sunday, July 11.

Neither team has ever won the prestigious prize.

Ontario Patient Transfer (OPT) is enthusiastically rooting for “Team Oranje,” which will need to muster everything it has to thwart Spain in the finals.

“It’s interesting that a team with a national flag of red, white and blue has latched onto the colour orange to represent itself — but then, so have we,” said OPT president Rick VanKleef. “Maybe it's our pride in our heritage that had us choose orange as a corporate colour. One thing is certain: we think it’s a distinctive colour, and we know a lot of fans who agree!”

OPT has enjoyed a number of its own wins this year, and the company is now working to ramp up service in Ottawa, Hamilton, Guelph and — most recently — the northern regions of the GTA.

"Not unlike the "Orange Crush," we’ve got great people on the OPT Team, and we are praised over and over for our service," said OPT General Manager Phil Coburn. "We may not have the likes of Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Dirk Kuyt, and Robin van Persie working at Ontario Patient Transfer — but as far as our patients are concerned, we might as well.”
